Role: Responsibilities Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. Provide direct patient care to medically complex and/or critically ill patients requiring extended hospitalization Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals (Respiratory Therapists, Physical Therapists, Case Managers, Dietitians, Speech Language Pathologists, and more) to create and carry out individualized care plans Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, disch

Qualifications:
- Education and Training:
- Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.
- Experience:
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
